Even in 2015, a staggering 2.4 billion people lack access to a basic latrine. That's over a third of the world's population. As a response, the United Nations have launched #WorldToiletDay inviting people everywhere to stand in solidarity for improved living conditions. And to make today a day for us to think about.
Camaloon has been selected to create badges especially for the occasion. The badges were also featured at a public photo call session at the UN's headquarters in Geneva on 24th October. Each matte-finish badge brandished messages of support for World Toilet Day such as "Yes I Think" and #WeCantWait as well as an image of Rodin’s “Thinker” - also the campaign’s logo. The objective of the event eas to take photos of the visitors wearing the badges as a rallying sign to this cause.
People around the globe can support the day by taking part in the #BeAThinker initiative. To join in, strike a classic “Thinker” pose and upload a selfie to your social media with hashtags #BeAThinker and #WorldToiletDay. Check out the hashtag - maybe among some of the "Thinkers" who post their photo you'll see one or two badges!
Let's stand shoulder to shoulder for a better world.
