Tell us something about the beginning of your career.
I started my work in the career of advertising at JWT Cairo in 2007 as an illustrator. I Later joined FP7 Bahrain in 2010 as a senior illustrator and continued in the FP7 network to become FP7 Dubai as senior creative visualizer. In 2012 I became a freelance Illustrator.
Where does your passion for art come from?
When I was four years old, I went to the zoo for the first time, I was amazed by the animals and creatures there and it had a great impact on me. That day, I wanted to draw each and every single animal I saw, and ever since then art became my natural way to see and express life.
Where do you find inspiration?
Nature, history and all different forms of art.
Who's your favorite artist? Famous or not.
There are so many, I will just give some names of my long long list: Gustav Klimt, Hamed Saied and P.Gugan.
How do you create? Where?
It all starts with imagining what the visual is going to look like; in this stage its important to be transparent with the concept so it can flow in the suitable art direction. I then start sketching to find the best visual solution; once I am satisfied with the sketch, I scan and apply final touches digitally using Photoshop or Illustrator. I usually work in my studio.
How would you describe your work?
it's difficult to answer that one, ….I do a wide range of works from the commercial illustrations to fine art pieces, and my satisfaction in work comes from illustrating the concept without forcing it to fit one certain style, but to let it appear with right and necessary elements which capture the essence and vibes of the subject matter. This mindset allows me to develop various tools and styles rather than using one constant style.
