From Fantasy to Fanzine:

Tell us what you like in two lines (colour, song, film, food…)

I´m a big fan of dinosaurs and sharks. I love music, I play several musical instruments, and now I´m learning to play violin. I can eat tons of chocolate and meatballs, but I hate eating fish. And like every other illustrator, I have two cats.

Where does your passion for art come from?

I don´t know, I've been drawing since I was a child, it's just part of my life. Though I studied illustration by chance, I wanted to be an archaeologist!

Where do you find inspiration?

In films, music videos... but especially in music.

Which is the relationship with fanzines?

Fanzines were very important for me when I started. They taught me a lot of things: team-working, dealing with the publishing world and, more than anything else, to get smart and creative so I could selfpublish.

Are there any other Camaloon artists that you like?

I´m a big fan of Medusa Dolmaker´s work. She´s an awesome artist and a really great person.

How would you describe your work?

Two years ago I would have said "Fantasy!" without a doubt, but now I feel that I need to do something else. Something more in touch with feelings and that reaches to the soul.

Tell us a funny story about you or your work.

Well, I once went to an esoteric themed publishing house for an interview and some illustrations. They loved my work and we got excited talking about the project I was going to work in. We were talking for maybe a couple of hours. We hit it right away, and it felt like the people from the publishing house were old friends. I completely fell in love when I realized I had returned from the office without signing the contract. Instead, I got a lot of esoteric books and my astral chart.

This was the weirdest deal breaker in my life. I love that publishing house.

The project that makes you proudest.

Mmh, I'm really demanding, so I'm never really proud of anything I do. I always go away with the feeling I could have done better.

I've only ever felt proud of a small 3x3 inches piece, almost monochrome with some gold highlights. It was so small and delicate I couldn't stop looking at it. It's now the property of the model @tadzioautumn, which makes me really happy because his work as model and photographer is a great source of inspiration for me.

One last comment?

Yeah... Please, send me choccolate!!!! I´m on a diet and really hungry!!!
